GetResponse has almost everything that an email marketer can think of. A robust feature set and extensive options enable you to customize your email campaigns in various ways.
What We Liked
GetResponse gets the thumbs up for ease of use. The user interface is clean, logical, and intuitive. It will keep you productive without drowning you in technical mumbo jumbo. We especially liked posting the blog link to twitter in addition to sending it as an announcement to the mailing list. We also liked the availability of an iPhone app which though we were unable to test gives you some level of flexibility in managing your campaigns while on the go. We also liked the integrated support for surveys. This is the next step in understanding your customer and gaining market intelligence.
Gaps to Watch
Differentiating between registration and sale is a good first step but lack of revenue tracking is a constraint. You also need to get your subscribers to opt-in when migrating your list. The fall out is that those subscribers who want to stay on your list but miss the opt-in confirmation mail will drop off your list. You will need to jump through extra hoops to make sure they stay on the list.
Review Summary
Feature rich with intuitive easy to use layout. Differentiates conversion & sales. Lacks revenue tracking. Overall, we give GetResponse 4 stars.
